Janice Mueller has been the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Creative Realty in Lexington since she purchased the first Central Kentucky RE/MAX franchise in 1987. She is also founder and co-owner of Bluegrass Mortgage in Lexington.
Janice was a Fayette County elementary teacher prior to joining the real estate profession in 1975.
She has been an active member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors since joining and has served in many positions, including President twice in the past twenty years.
Janice was most recently named as one of the top ten finalized for the National Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award. The Good Neighbor award is given annually to ten outstanding Realtors across the nation for their work and dedication in giving back to others.
The Makenna Foundation, the largest fundraising arm of the Kentucky Children’s Hospital, was co-founded by Janice and Makenna’s parents, Greg & Shelia David, in September 2001. Shelia David met with Janice and her staff in the spring of 2001 to share her desire to build a three-dimensional wall at the children’s hospital in Makenna’s memory. Makenna died in 1998 from a rare lung disease at the age of 20 months.
The colorful wall that has brightened the entry to Ky Children’s Hospital since 2003 has led to many other projects funded by The Makenna Foundation. Its pride and joy is the new Makenna David Pediatric Emergency Center which opened at the new UK Med Center in July 2010. By partnering with the Miracle Home program, RE/MAX Creative Realty continues to support the Kentucky Children's Hospital through the Makenna Foundation.
